FINAL ANNOUNCEMENT - 12.18.23
First of all, thank you to all of you who helped by bringing in items, donating money by participating in the Penny Wars, and giving your time and energy to carrying, sorting, and organizing the items and family boxes. You did amazing!! 240 students were nominated for the lunch drawings, which means 240 of you got involved in one way or another. 128 were nominated multiple times. Way to be difference makers!! Be ready for a TON of winners today during lunch, including several more BIG PRIZE winners for those who were nominated more than once. A special thanks to Mrs. Adamiec’s classes for all the extra help!! By the end of today, they will have made 70 family boxes that will help feed our WCS Families through the holidays.
As a school, our goal was to earn at least 11,478 points. We quadrupled that thanks to some excellent efforts by many of our SRT classes. We collected nearly 12.000 items!! Almost 2,000 more items than we collected last year. AMAZING JOB!! This will help our community greatly. A few SRT’s were just a little short of their goal (less than 50 points in total), but through the generosity of some of the other SRT’s who exceeded their goal, they were gifted the points they needed, so EVERYONE MET THEIR GOAL! Afterall, it is about giving and helping others, right??
And now for the top 3 classes ...in Third place with 832.5% of their goal is Mrs. Brenner’’s class. They earned 2,648 points! In second place is Mrs. Hawn’s class with 1921.4% of their goal, accumulating 8070 points. And the winner is….drum roll please…………..The Food Drive Queen herself, MRS. HELSER with 2828.1% of their goal. They earned 11,878 points!! Mrs. Adamiec will send out the final tally to the SRT teachers later in the week. Feel free to ask them if you want to know how your class did.
Thank you again to all who contributed!!
